Council hears plan to widen Beck Road

Plans to widen Beck Road beginning at Pontiac Trail in Wixom’s business corridor, between I-96 and M-14, were recently presented to Northville City Council members.

The presentation made by Wixom Mayor Steve Brown on behalf of the Beck Road Task Force outlined the expansion project that calls for either four or five lanes with a median, contiguous sidewalks and a bicycle path. Wixom and Novi city officials established the task force in 2017 to facilitate better access for communities along this route and bolster the Wixom business corridor.
