Jazz band features women

The Elks is proud to bring RB3 & SHE to the stage Oct. 30. The venerable Ron Brooks from the former Bird of Paradise Jazz Club is resurrecting an almost all-girl band with a wide range of talents and skills to bring us some of the best jazz sounds around. We will hear Ron Brooks on bass, Ingrid Racine on trumpet, Ellen Rowe on keyboard, Janell Reichman on saxophone, and Karen Tomalis on drums.

Dixieland Band to perform

The West Side Ramblers will provide free entertainment playing Dixieland/Bluegrass Music on the first Thursday of the month from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Burger Night at the Plymouth Ann Arbor Elks Lodge 325.  Appearances are Nov. 1, and Dec. 6.

There will be a limited menu available from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The group comprised five veteran musicians – Morgan Humecky on vocals, lead guitar and banjo; Sherry Humecky on the hammered dulcimer; Brian Newsom on chord melody/rhythm banjo; Kim Dominick on electric bass and Bob Ervin, rhythm guitar and vocals.

Blues greats to entertain

The Dale Robertson Band returns to the Elks on Tuesday Nov. 13 with great blues sounds for a night of fun and dancing. Dale Robertson is on harmonica and vocals. Joining him are Christopher Leigh on guitar and vocals, Neno Blag on bass, and Jake Segall on drums.
