Plymouth Township will host a blood drive from 1-7 p.m. Jan. 8 in the board meeting room at township hall, 9955 N.Haggerty Road in Plymouth.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community, noted Fire Chief Daniel Phillips who is coordinating the effort.

Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime, he added

For more information, contact Phillips at (734) 354-3221
