The first new Northville Township police officer in 2016 was sworn in at Township Hall last month when Ofc. Christopher Bachand, center, officially took his oath of office and signed the 100-year-old registration book witnessed by Northville Township Clerk Sue Hillebrand. Steve Bachand, right, congratulated the new officer who asked his father to pin his first badge on him at the ceremony.
