A police investigation has led to the arrest and arraignment of two suspects alleged to be involved in an armed robbery in Northville Township on Jan. 24, 2024.

Northville Township police report a multi-agency investigation has led to the identification and arrest of Detroit resident Javon Bryant Anderson, 29, and another yet unnamed individual.

The two suspects were arraigned in Plymouth’s 35th District Court today and charged with a total of 26 felonies, including armed robbery, assault less than murder, kidnapping, home invasion and criminal sexual conduct. The second individual arrested was transferred to federal custody to face federal weapons charges.

On Feb. 5,2024 a coordinated effort, involving the Northville Township Detective Bureau, FBI SWAT, FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, Michigan State Police and the Canton Special Operations Group, resulted in search warrants being executed at the suspect’s residences in Detroit and Taylor. Police say the second individual will be arraigned at a later date in federal court.

Authorities say that on Jan. 20, 2024, the Northville Township Police Department responded to the area of Eight Mile Road and Silver Spring Drive in Northville Township for a report of an armed robbery.

Police found the victim was lured outside of his residence and violently assaulted. The suspect then forced the victim, at gun point, back into his residence where he continued the assault. Additionally, the suspect sexually assaulted a female who also was inside the residence, while holding the male victim and a 1-year-old child at gunpoint.

Anderson’s bond was set at $500,000 and he is scheduled to appear back in court on Feb. 16.
