Schoolcraft College student Nina Perry, second from left, was named the winner of the prestigious 2019 Pythagorean Prize for excellence in mathematics which includes a $3000 cash prize. Second place went to Elga Bojko of Canton Township, left, who received a $1500 award, and the third-place winner, Sasha Gill-Lunghammer of Plymouth, at right, received a $1000 award. Math professor Larry Chorazewski joined in congratulating the winners. This is the first year since the awards began in 2003 that the top prizes were all taken by women students.
