Kindergarten enrollment is under way

Northville Public Schools is now accepting kindergarten enrollment for fall 2018.

Parents with children who will be 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, can scheduled an appointment to enroll the student on the 2018-19 Enrollment page on the district website.

Staff members from the Office of Student Data will be present at district schools during February and March to review all necessary documentation and process student enrollments.

Staff will be at Winchester Elementary School Feb. 6, 7, and 8; at Thornton Creek Elementary School Feb. 13, 14 and 15; at Silver Springs Elementary School Feb. 20, 21 and 22; at Ridge Wood Elementary School Feb. 27, 28 and March 1; at Moraine Elementary on March 6, 7, and 8 and at Amerman Elementary School on March 13, 14 and 15.

Parents should follow steps one through five on the website to complete the enrollment forms and gather information regarding which documents will be needed to bring to the scheduled appointment.

Those unsure about the school their child will be attending can consult the Attendance Boundary Map on the district website.

A parent meeting for incoming 2018-19 kindergarteners will take place at each school in the spring.

All six Northville elementary schools are fully-engaged in The Leader in Me framework, which emphasizes a culture of student empowerment that helps unleash each child’s full potential. The Northville Public Schools Early Childhood Education and Extended Day Programs offers Kids’ Club at each elementary school. This tuition-based pro- gram allows parents the option to have their child participate in a before-and/or after-school child-care program. Kids’ Club is offered as an option on school days from as early as 7 a.m. to the start of school and from school dismissal until 6 p.m. Early Childhood also offers Half-Day, Pre-K PLUS, School-Day and Full-Day programs.
