It’s become a tradition and for the 6th year Plymouth Township firefighters from Local 1496 are again hosting an annual “Pumpkin Patch” sale to raise funds for charity.

The focused and dedicated township firefighters work in unison with mainstream charities like the Salvation Army and local schools to pinpoint area families who need help. One hundred percent of the proceeds are used for charity donations.

The pumpkin sale will continue through Halloween. Pumpkin Patches are now open and  located at Fire Station 1, located at 9911 N. Haggerty Road and Fire Station 3 at 13600 Beck Road in Plymouth.

They are offering two sizes of pumpkins. The large ones sell for $10 or 3 for $20, and the small ones, 1 for $5,  or 3 for $10.  Donations of cash or check are accepted and can be placed in the secure mailboxes at each location. If donating by check make payable to “Plymouth Firefighters Local 1496.”

Firefighters advise additional donations are always welcome.
