Star Wars Reads in Plymouth
The Plymouth District Library will host the 5thAnnual Star Wars Reads Day from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
This is one of the most popular events at the library, noted Director Carol Souchock. The building will be filled with everything Star Wars, including posters, characters and decorations. Visitors are urged to come as favorite characters and enjoy Star Wars activities including books, face painting, games, crafts and refreshments.
The library is located at 223 Main St. in Plymouth.

Women voters host auction
The annual live auction for The League of Women Voters of Northwest Wayne County to benefit the group’s work with voting issues is set for 11:30 until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Alexander Blue House at Greenmead Historical Park, 20501 Newburgh Road, Livonia. The location is just south of Eight Mile and just east of 275.
Items can be viewed from 11 a.m. until 11:30 and include baked goods, wine, event tickets, guided tours and more.

Blues greats to entertain
The Dale Robertson Band returns to the Elks on Tuesday Nov. 13 with great blues sounds for a night of fun and dancing. Dale Robertson is on harmonica and vocals. Joining him are Christopher Leigh on guitar and vocals, Neno Blag on bass, and Jake Segall on drums.
