Plymouth DPW crews prepared to close downtown streets and set up bleachers Friday morning in anticipation of a large concert crowd expected that night at Kellogg Park as dozens of residents and fans were staking out their place in front of the bandstand with lawn chairs and blankets. They were there as early as 8:30 a.m., ready to find the best place to enjoy the return concert of the popular local band, Fifty Amp Fuse. Some were planning to wait the entire day, others said they would return later. The concert, one in a summer series, sponsored by the Plymouth DDA and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan was not scheduled to start until 7:00 p.m.

Last year the band attracted over 10,000 people to the small park.

The closed streets are:

  • ANN ARBOR TRAIL – From Main Street to Union
  • MAIN STREET – From Fralick to Ann Arbor Trail
