Red Wings to join Salvation Army bell ringers at local markets

Members of The Detroit Red Wings staff and alumni are teaming up with the Salvation Army for “Red Wings for Red Kettles” to help the nonprofit reach its $8.5 million Red Kettle campaign goal.

The former players will join the Salvation Army’s Detroit area commander, Major Mark Anderson, as they compete as volunteer bell ringers for one night  at Hiller’s Market on Center Street in Northville,  4:30-6:30 PM and Kroger in Plymouth on Ann Arbor Road,  5-7 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Autographs will be signed for a suggested $10 donation.
