Northville police have arrested a 27- year-old man in connection with the burglary of a local restaurant.

According to police reports, Kevin Alex Greene, of Detroit, had previously assisted with custodial services at Rocky’s of Northville where the theft was discovered by employees the morning of Sept. 19.

Police reported that a safe was taken from the building.

Following an extensive investigation by detectives from the Northville Township Police Department, Greene was arrested Oct. 5 and detectives recovered stolen property related to the burglary.

Police said that Rocky’s was singled out and that no other related incidents were reported in Northville Township.

Greene was arraigned Oct. 6 on charges of breaking and entering and larceny in a building, according to a report from Northville police. He was given a $20,000 bond and remanded to the Wayne County Jail.

Police praised the staff members at Rocky’s of Northville for their prompt reporting of the break-in.

Greene was due in 35th District Court for a preliminary examination on the charges Oct. 27.
