State Rep. Jeff Noble of Plymouth was joined by special guest Plymouth Township Fire Chief Dan Philips for the annual Michigan House of Representative 9-1-1 Memorial Service at the Capitol in Lansing. Members from more than a dozen organizations from across the state were remembered.

The ceremony marked the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States and honored law enforcement, fire fighting and military first responders who died in the line of duty in the past year.

The names of the 15 first responders and military members from Michigan who died were read during the ceremony last Thursday at noon.
