Northville Township police report a hit and run driver killed a 20-year old man Thursday night on Sheldon Road between 6-Mile and Tournament Drive.

According to authorities, the accident happened just before midnight when the victim and his friends were out skateboarding south from 6-Mile – down the hill. Police say the driver never stopped, leaving his victim in the street.

Lt. Mike Burrough said the suspect vehicle is likely to have damage to the front-end and windshield on the passenger side,  was light in color and possibly a smaller sedan or SUV.
