12-year-old Canton student fights off abductor at bus stop

UPDATED – POLICE RELEASE SURVEILLANCE PHOTO OF SUSPECT VEHICLE

 

Canton Police report they are investigating an attempted abduction of a 12-year-old Canton boy.

According to police the student was at his bus stop at about 7:20 a.m. in the 51074 block of Mott Road by College Park Mobile Homes when a male suspect physically attempted to grab him.

Officials said the boy was able to fight off the attempted abductor and flee the area.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 30-years-old, 6 feet, thin build and clean shaven with short blond, spiked hair. He was wearing a black hoodie and gray pants.

The suspect was driving a white 4-door sedan, possibly a Ford Taurus.
