Township officials to present ADA plan

A special public meeting to present the Canton Township Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Canton Administration Building, located at 1150 S. Canton Center Road.

All individuals who currently reside in Canton Township, or who utilize a Canton facility or service, are encouraged to attend to provide input during the meeting which will take place in the board room, located on the first floor. Participants planning to attend are asked to RSVP by calling (734) 394-5260. Comments about the Canton ADA Transition Plan may be submitted online at www.canton-mi.org through March 27.

CART (Communication Access Real-time Translation) services will also be provided during this public meeting including real-time captioning and transcription. In addition, Canton residents currently registered with Canton Community Mobility

Transportation Services may schedule a ride to and from the meeting by calling Paula Kosbe at (734) 394-5191 no later than 2 p.m. March 25.

The township will provide necessary, reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities at the public hearing based on a two-week notice to Canton. Individuals with disabilities requiring any additional auxiliary aids or services should contact by writing: Kerreen Conley, Human Resources Manager, Charter Township of Canton, 1150 S.
