Northville firefighters on the scene

Northville Township Firefighters responded within minutes to a car fire early Thursday afternoon at the entrance drive to the Northville Village Center located at 6 Mile and Haggerty Road. The motorist said he thought the fire started with his transmission and almost before he could get out and dial for help the entire vehicle went up in a blaze. The vehicle was a total loss. There were no reported injuries.
