Heroes on Hines – 5K Run Saturday

Wayne County Parks will host the annual Heroes on Hines 5K run this weekend at Edwards Hines Parkway in Plymouth Township.

Started in 2013 with the dedication of the Heroes on Hines Memorial the tradition continues this Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Haggerty and Hines Drive.

Donations raised this weekend will aid maintenance, flags and improvements to the site. Participants can register online at www.heroesonhines.com. Parking will be at the First Responders Memorial, 12000 N. Haggerty Road, Plymouth 48170.

Entry fees include a technical race shirt, finisher’s medal and post-race snacks. Kids will receive post-race medal, hat and snacks.

The six granite walls of the First Responders Memorial contain the names of the police, fire and EMS personnel from Wayne County communities who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
