Fire Departments celebrate Fire Prevention Week

This October area fire departments will be hosting open house to celebrate the 2014 Fire Prevention Week, October 5 through 11.
Canton Fire Department will host open house on Oct 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Fire Station One at 1100 S. Canton Center Road.
Northville Township Fire Department will hold open house on Oct. 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Fire Department Headquarters, 45745 W. Six Mile Road.
Plymouth Township Fire Department will hold a Fire Safety Open House on Oct. 11 at Fire Station One, 9911 Haggerty Road, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
City of Northville/Plymouth Fire Department are also scheduling tours during Fire Protection week. Interested groups and individual should call 734-453-1234 Ext. 280 for more information.
Open house celebrations will include a variety of demonstrations, station tours, fire gear-dress up stations, handouts, hot dog and popcorn and activities to educated and entertain both children and adults. In addition some fire departments will open the Fire Department Safety House and there are plans to feature the U of M Survival Flight at the Plymouth Township Open House.
