Northville exhibit opens
The Northville Art House will present IMPRINT: A Kate Paul Retrospective, featuring more than 50 works, including paintings, etchings, sketches, sculptures, and prose, by Livonia artist Kate Paul. The exhibition opens with a reception from 6-9 p.m. Friday, April 7, with gallery talk at 7 p.m. The exhibit will continue through Saturday, April 29, during Art House hours, noon until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon until 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
The Northville Art House is located at 215 W. Cady St. Admission is always free.
Art workshops available
The Plymouth Community Arts Council will offer three workshops for students ages 6-13 during spring break.
Painting will be offered from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, April 4 when students can design a background and add 3D pieces to their art. Pottery will be offered from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, April 5 when students can learn techniques and created a tile. Out of the Scrap Box Day is planned for 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, April 6. Students can choose to make a bird feeder, sun mobile or robot treasure box.
The cost is $22 per day for arts council members and $24 for non-members or $60 for all three days.
