Santa’s arrival kicks off Plymouth holiday season

Experience a true Plymouth tradition with your family and friends when Santa kicks off the Christmas Holiday Season this Friday. Enjoy snowflake-lined streets, decorated storefronts and a visit from Santa in Downtown Plymouth the day after Thanksgiving!
Events:
- 5:15 p.m. P-CEP Choir holiday music
- 5:30 p.m. Gordon Russ Holiday Magic Show
- 6:00 p.m. Santa arrives by fire truck
- 6:00 p.m. Lighting of the Holiday Tree
- 6:30 p.m. Santa’s House open for the season
- 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Free admission to the Plymouth Historical Museum’s “A Dickens of a Christmas” holiday exhibit and “Santa’s Workshop” where kids can make snowman ornaments and reindeer food.
Festivities kick off at 5:15 p.m. as the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Choir will take the stage singing holiday songs in Kellogg Park. At 5:30 p.m., magician Gordon Russ will take the stage with his Holiday Magic Show. Santa is expected to arrive by fire truck at 6 p.m. and will help with the lighting of the Holiday Tree. At 6:30 p.m., Santa’s House will officially be open for the season and the Plymouth Historical Museum will have free admission to “A Dickens of a Christmas” holiday exhibit that celebrates the 200th birthday of Charles Dickens and “Santa’s Workshop” where kids can make their own snowman ornaments and reindeer food. The Plymouth Historical Museum will be open until 9 p.m.
Other activities include getting your picture taken as a snowman, penguin or other fun characters, voting on Gingerbread house displays, strolling the winter wonderland that is The Walk of Trees in Kellogg Park and free light up rainbow candy for kids. Free hot chocolate will also be provided by the Plymouth Salvation Army.
You can also join the Plymouth Canton Educational Park carolers as they stroll across Downtown Plymouth starting Friday, Nov. 23. They’ll be singing every Friday evening and Saturday afternoon between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
