The Northville Downtown Development Authority (DDA) has scheduled a town meeting this Thursday to review a proposed 2017 downtown master plan, a draft of which will be presented for community comment. The plan will address parks, theaters, outdoor activities and potential downtown housing along with potential ways to increase community diversity according to a DDA spokesperson.

Last year the Northville City council retained the Ann Arbor landscape, architecture, planning and engineering firm of Beckett and Raeder to complete the strategic plan. The plan is said to include consideration for the redevelopment of vacant properties, types of use and expanding the current DDA district boundaries to include areas such as Northville Downs.

The meeting set to target residents and business owners is at 6:30 p.m. at the Northville Community Center, 303 W. Main St.
