There’s nothing like Plymouth at Christmas time

The nostalgia of Christmas is alive in Plymouth.

Nostalgic Christmas greetings from the BB-gun capital of the world, Plymouth, Michigan – home of Daisy Air Rifle Co., formerly located at 287 Union Street and still in business.

The ever-popular film A Christmas Story  that most everyone watches each year at this time was based on a young boy named Ralphie Parker that attempts to convince his parents, teacher, and Santa Claus that a Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun (made in Plymouth) really is the perfect Christmas gift.

Be careful you don’t shoot your eye out!

Christmas in Plymouth would not be the same without the Penn Theatre that each year offers a nostalgic experience with the movie that warms hearts and brings back wonderful memories at Christmas time – It’s a Wonderful Life, the classic film about a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others in his community of Bedford Falls.

People say Plymouth at Christmas time in downtown Plymouth is a lot like Bedford Falls with its quaint downtown built upon a town square with a big screen movie house with a marquee that still looks the same as the day it opened in 1941.

Look for the new “Bedford Falls” sign when you visit the Penn, Kellogg Park and the annual Walk of Trees and enjoy the wonderful decorations, shops and friendly people.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Holiday and a very Merry Christmas!

And what to you want for Christmas-Ralphie?

Wes Graff long time President of the Chamber of Commerce appeared live on Local 4 this week promoting the new holiday decorations to Kellogg Park and promoting business in Plymouth.
