Four days after a hit and run vehicle critically injured a 10 year-old boy at the intersection of Sheldon and Ann Arbor Road, Plymouth Township Police are asking for citizen assistance in locating the driver and the vehicle.

According to police information, Zachary Walski and a friend were running north across Ann Arbor Road when a westbound vehicle struck them last Saturday evening about 8:00 p.m. Police said the incident happened after dark in the rain, on October 3.

“It was raining at the time of the crash and the boys were wearing dark clothing. It’s possible the driver is unaware of what they struck. Zachary was transported to Mott’s Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor with head injuries.” Said Police Lt. Robert Antal.

Antal is urging anyone who was in the area of Ann Arbor Rd and Sheldon Saturday evening around the time of the crash who may be able to provide any information regarding the identity of the vehicle to call: 734-354-3232.
