Township officials call special board meeting for Wednesday

Plymouth Township officials have scheduled a special meeting of the Board of Trustees for this Wednesday, Jun. 11, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Township Hall.

The meeting has not been publicized and is not yet posted on the township website.

The agenda briefly mentions a closed session to discuss pending litigation. The township is involved in various open lawsuits involving the City of Detroit, the Plymouth Township Police Department, LA Fitness, Municipal Employees Retirement System of Michigan and the Plymouth Township Fire Department.

The agenda states the meeting will open with the board going into a closed session and then returning at approximately 6:45 p.m. with the meeting then being open to the public to discuss the township park amphitheater project prior to collecting bids and starting construction.
