Several members of the Detroit Tigers stopped by the Northville-Plymouth Fire Department last week as part of their two day 2015 Winter Caravan spreading goodwill and baseball fever.

Presented by Oakland University and FOX Sports Detroit the caravan with two buses of players, coaches and executives, including general manger Dave Dombrowski, manager Brad Ausmus and special assistant Alan Trammel made more than 30 stops including Northville during their two-day journey.

Tiger’s catcher Alex Avila and pitcher Joe Nathan and other team members were welcomed by a group of the city’s volunteer firefighters at the Main Street station as they competed to see who could put-on their firefighting gear the fastest.
