Plymouth and Canton Township Police agencies report that two missing runaway area teens were located last night.

Plymouth Township Police Sgt. Bill Fetner said a cooperative effort between the Cleburne County Sheriff Department in Heflin, Alabama and the Atlanta Police Department utilizing a vehicle identification tracking system, helped to pinpoint the missing youth’s Jeep Wrangler on Highway 20-W heading west out of Atlanta. The sheriff deputies found the couple safe when they were picked up at 10:00 p.m. in Heflin.

Last Sunday, a Michigan State Police Missing Advisory stated that Timothy Michael Wieber, Age 16 of Plymouth Township and Lillian Le Nguyen, also 16, of Canton Township, were endangered and could be considered suicidal. Later, the agencies received tips that reported the youths were suspected to be heading to the Atlanta area after they were spotted in Toledo, Ohio.

Fetner said the departments had been working long hours on the case and the cooperation provided by the Atlanta Police Department was a “huge help.”

The youths, now in Heflin waiting for their parents to pick them up, were said to be on their way to a concert when found.
